Elephant corridors, tea estates and riverbeds under the Bhutan hills.

About Dooars

Dooars holidays, planned end to end by our own team

The Dooars is the floodplain doorway between the Bengal plains and the Bhutan Himalaya — a mosaic of sal forest, tea gardens and braided rivers where wild elephants, gaur, leopards and one-horned rhinos still move freely between reserves. It is the easiest wildlife holiday in eastern India: no flights, no long drives, and forest lodges right inside the reserve buffers.

Turopia handles Gorumara and Jaldapara jeep safari permits, elephant safari slots at Jaldapara and Hollong bungalow bookings, along with watchtower entries at Chukchuki, Jatraprasad and Medla.
