Day-wise routine
Day 1 — NJP / Bagdogra to Darjeeling via Mirik
Pick-up and a slow ascent through tea gardens with a halt at Mirik's Sumendu Lake and the Pashupati border market. Evening free on Mall Road.
Day 2 — Tiger Hill sunrise and Darjeeling sightseeing
Pre-dawn drive to Tiger Hill, then Batasia Loop war memorial, Ghoom Monastery, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, the Tibetan Refugee Centre and the Peace Pagoda.
Day 3 — Toy train and Happy Valley
Morning joy ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway to Ghum and back, then a tea plucking and tasting session at Happy Valley Tea Estate. Afternoon free for Chowrasta and Glenary's.
Day 4 — Darjeeling to Kalimpong
Drive along the Teesta to Kalimpong. Visit Deolo Hill, Durpin Dara Monastery, Dr Graham's Homes and the cactus nurseries.
Day 5 — Departure
Transfer to NJP / Bagdogra with a riverside breakfast stop.
