Day-wise routine
Day 1 — Arrive Guwahati
Kamakhya Temple and an evening river cruise.
Day 2 — Guwahati to Kaziranga
Drive east through tea country, check in near the Central Range, evening cultural programme.
Day 3 — Kaziranga safaris
Dawn elephant safari in the Western Range and an afternoon jeep safari in the Central Range for rhino, wild buffalo, swamp deer and elephants.
Day 4 — Kaziranga to Shillong
Long scenic drive via Nagaon and Umiam Lake, arriving Shillong by evening.
Day 5 — Cherrapunji day
Nohkalikai, Seven Sisters, Mawsmai Cave, Arwah Cave and Thangkharang Park.
Day 6 — Dawki and Mawlynnong
Umngot boating, Mawlynnong village and Riwai root bridge, return to Shillong.
Day 7 — Departure
Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak, then transfer to Guwahati.
