Day-wise routine
Day 1 — Arrive Guwahati
Kamakhya Temple and Brahmaputra sunset cruise.
Day 2 — To Kaziranga
Drive east, evening Bihu cultural show.
Day 3 — Kaziranga safaris
Elephant safari at dawn and a jeep safari in the afternoon.
Day 4 — Kaziranga to Majuli
Ferry across the Brahmaputra from Nimati Ghat; visit Kamalabari and Auniati satras, mask-making at Samaguri.
Day 5 — Majuli to Dirang
Return ferry and drive into Arunachal with ILP checks; overnight at Dirang.
Day 6 — Dirang to Tawang
Cross Sela Pass and Paradise Lake, pay respects at Jaswant Garh War Memorial, arrive Tawang.
Day 7 — Tawang sightseeing
Tawang Monastery, the War Memorial, Urgelling Gompa and Craft Centre.
Day 8 — Bumla and the high lakes
Permit-based excursion to Bumla Pass, Sangetsar (Madhuri) Lake and PTSO Lake.
Day 9 — Tawang to Bomdila
Descend via Sela, visit Bomdila Monastery and the viewpoint.
Day 10 — Bomdila to Guwahati
Long drive out of the hills through Nechiphu and Tezpur.
Day 11 — Guwahati to Cherrapunji
Umiam Lake, Shillong, then Sohra for Nohkalikai and Mawsmai Cave.
Day 12 — Dawki and Mawlynnong
Umngot river boating, Mawlynnong and the Riwai root bridge; overnight Shillong.
Day 13 — Departure
Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak and transfer to Guwahati.
